Annual Meeting

Please join the YMCA of Greater Charlotte in congratulating the  Tom Dooley Family – the 2010 John R. Mott Award recipients.

John R. Mott was one of the great Christian leaders of the YMCA movement.  He was known as a "citizen of the world", served as Secretary General of the World Alliance of YMCAs and received the Nobel Peace Prize in 1946.  The name of John R. Mott is respected globally as a shining example of servant leadership.  Each year, the YMCA of Greater Charlotte presents an award in honor of John R. Mott.

The Dooley family will be honored at our 2010 annual meeting on Monday, March 22, 2010 at the Knight Theater. The event will begin with a fellowship reception at 6 p.m. and will honor the YMCA of Greater Charlotte’s top volunteers.

In this photo are Tom Dooley, seated, sons David Dooley and Bob Dooley and long-time friend Bob King.

Planning to attend the 2010 annual meeting?

The Knight Theater is located on South Tryon in Uptown Charlotte. Complimentary parking is available at the five lots (shown in blue) listed on this map. Parking tokens will be offered inside the Knight Theater on the day of the event. Tokens will be collected by the parking attendant as you leave the garage.

Please contact Molly Thompson at (704) 716-6238 or molly.thompson@ymcacharlotte.org if you have any questions. See you at the annual meeting!
