Contributions to the YMCA of Greater Charlotte are safe and go directly into programs and services that help the YMCA fulfill its mission and are not related to earned revenue.  We work hard to be good stewards with donated dollars and that hard work is recognized by Charity Navigator (www.charitynavigator.org ) - the premier unbiased online organization that rates charities - which gave the YMCA of Greater Charlotte its highest rating.  While the demand for need-based financial assistance for programs such as Afterschool, day camp, sports and other programs continues to rise, we believe that those who understand the YMCA's ability to improve lives will continue to support the efforts that make programs like these accessible to all.

The YMCA of Greater Charlotte's financial strength and vitality is steadfast as it has been for 135 years.  By adjusting expenses related to revenue now, we position our organization to come out of these tough economic times strong while not limiting our ability to connect people to our meaningful programs and services that enhance lives and lift spirits.
