Volunteer at the Y!
Overview
MORE THAN ONE WAY TO
EXERCISE YOUR HEART
At the Y, we believe that when people come together for a common cause, the whole community is strengthened. When you become a volunteer, you have the opportunity to share your blessings with those who need it most. Whether you mentor a student on the verge of dropping out, coach a team to their personal best or become a friend to an isolated senior, your time and talent changes lives. When you help a neighbor, you make a difference in their life…and yours.
Be a role model by working with youth and teens. Coach a sport, tutor a child after school or read to child in one of our child care programs.
Work with kids and families as a volunteer with
Y Readers
literacy program
and Stratford Richardson
afterschool.
Join the Y team and experience a variety of activities. Help make our events successful by volunteering at a race or our
golf tournament.
Serve on a committee, be a workout buddy or lead a small group.
You may be able to make an ongoing commitment to serve with us for a season, or you may serve at a one-time event. No matter how you help, you'll make a difference as you work with others to create a feeling belonging in the Y.
