THEIR POTENTIAL
Summer Camp
The Lincoln County Family YMCA offers a fun, safe environment for 600 kids and teens each summer where they engage in enriching, healthy activities with positive role models.
$1,300 sends a child to camp for the entire summer.
Swim Lessons
Each year the Lincoln County Family YMCA provides swim lessons for more than 580 kids and teens. In addition to learning this life-saving skill, this experience builds social, athletic and leadership skills, as well as promoting healthy physical activity.
Sports and Dance
Each year the Lincoln County Family YMCA provides sports and dance for more than 75 children. Their experience builds social, athletic and leadership skills as well as promoting healthy physical activity.
$75 provides a child with one session of sports.
Home School Gym and Swim
More than 70 Lincoln County children and teens gain socialization and fellowship while learning to swim and being physically active at Home School Gym and Swim.
THEIR HEALTH
Active Adults
The Lincoln County YMCA helps the senior members of our community avoid isolation by bringing them together through exercise classes, health assessments, social activities and fellowship. Three hundred seniors participate.
$250 enables a senior to participate in one year of enriching programming.
THEIR FUTURE
Teen Leaders Club
This teen program helps develop our future leaders and includes participation in physical fitness, community service, volunteer work and leadership development. Teens from the program are chosen to attend a week-long leadership development workshop at the YMCA Blue Ride Leaders School.
$450 pays for a week of leadership development at YMCA Blue Ridge Leaders School.
Charitable gifts made to the YMCA of Greater Charlotte represent a gift to the entire YMCA mission. To help the most number of people in need, the YMCA uses donations where they can do the most good by pooling them together to strengthen the entire community. Because your gift is helping the YMCA provide life-transforming programs to adults and children, your gift is tax deductible.
YMCA Mission: To put Christian principles into practice through programs that build healthy spirit, mind and body for all.
