About Us
The McCrorey Family YMCA branch of the YMCA of Greater Charlotte was established in 1936 as the Second Street YMCA, the 2nd oldest YMCA in Charlotte. The branch is named for the late Henry L. McCrorey, a former Johnson C. Smith University president. After relocating to the Northwest Corridor in 1969, the branch continues to deliver youth sports, swim lessons and community advocacy.
