2nd Annual MLK Teen Summit

Presented by Sprite

MON, JAN 20, 2014
11:00 AM - 1:00 PM
McCrorey Family YMCA | 3801 Beatties Ford Rd

Featuring Keynote Speaker: Chavis Gash of Dream Builders Communications, Inc.

“He Started From the Bottom, Now We're Here”

This heart-felt, interactive keynote address will educate participants on the power of

obtaining and maintaining real dreams in the ‘60s to propel outrageous aspirations in the 21st century. Participants will gain insight on not allowing circumstances to dictate their future, but utilizing the power of education, networking and identifying the right company to keep in order to transform their dreams into modern-day reality.

This event is open and free to all the teens and youth in our community and will engage them in discussion around social justice, higher education, entrepreneurship and civic engagement.

The purpose of this event is to help us to regain hope and inspire our youth to dream big and develop a positive outlook. This will be the time for giving and reflection. We would like for you to help us make this event a success and to show our youth that we, as adults, have not given up on them.

Through this event our mission is to educate, empower, enrich & entertain our youth. Our objective is to create an entrepreneurial spirit that will allow our tweens & teens to use their talents & gifts to become the author's of their own lives.
