Stay motivated by taking part in our
Stay Healthy Fitness Challenge
. The challenge is free for YMCA members and runs from February 13 - April 8. Complete four days of physical activity each week, with one of those activities being something new to you! Sign up January 9 - February 8 to participate.
You'll also get a chance to utilize our new Stay Healthy Technology in your pre- and post-assessments. A 20-second scan (or quick read) measures your body's lean muscle mass, body fat, hydration level and basal metabolic rate (how many calories you're burning at rest). After the challenge, you can view your personalized results and actually measure how your body changed
During the challenge, you'll track your activities on a chart in your branch, completing four days of physical activity a week for 8 weeks, making one day of activity something new to you. Complete all 8 weeks and receive a t-shirt! Plus, if you're able to reduce your body fat or increase your lean muscle mass - you'll be entered into a drawing for one of these great prizes:
> 3 Months of FREE membership
> 1 year subscription to Stay Healthy Total Health Technology (5 available)
> 5 Personal Training sessions (2 available)
> 3 sessions of Private Yoga/Pilates Training (2 available)
> 1 session of Boot Camp (3 available)
> $50 in Y bucks for YMCA programming (3 available)
To receive a T-shirt, you must complete eight weeks of the Challenge, including the Stay Healthy pre and post-assessments.To be eligible for the prize drawing, you must complete the Challenge, pre and post-assessments and one of the following: a) increase your lean muscle mass; b) reduce your body fat; or c) complete eight new activities prior to the end of the Challenge.
