DONATE NOW

When you give to the Siskey YMCA, you make our community better through life-changing programs and services focused on:

INSPIRING YOUNG POTENTIAL AND DRIVING ACADEMIC SUCCESS

Summer Camp
Camp creates a fun, safe place where kids can be themselves, cultivate friendships and learn from positive role models. Each summer more than 1,300 kids attend camp at the Siskey YMCA.

A donation of $150 sends a child to one week of summer day camp filled with enriching, healthy activities.

Youth Sports
When kids play sports, they build confidence and develop lifelong healthy habits. Hundreds of kids participate in youth sports at the Siskey YMCA each year.

A donation of $75 gives a child the opportunity to gain confidence during a season of youth sports.

DROWNING PREVENTION

Swim Lessons
Safety Around WaterWhen kids learn to swim, they build confidence, acquire safety/rescue skills and develop lifelong healthy habits. Hundreds of kids participate in youth sports at the Siskey YMCA each year.

“Because of a near drowning experience when she was younger, my daughter used to be really afraid of the water. The Y has changed that. She’s not afraid anymore and loves running and jumping into the pool. Learning to face her fears has also really helped her in other aspects of her life. I’m so grateful for the Y.” – Vanessa

A donation of $75 offers a child at risk of drowning the chance to learn the life-saving skill of swimming.

TACKLING COMMUNITY HEALTH CHALLENGES

HealthThe Y is dedicated to tackling our community’s greatest health challenges – obesity, type 2 diabetes, heart disease, stroke, cancer – by providing the support, guidance and resources people need to fight chronic disease, improve mobility and lead healthier lives. Improving quality of life for our whole community is our passion.

Over her past 14 years as a Siskey YMCA member, Heather’s life has been filled with change. She’s added four children to her family, worked as a pediatric nurse and started her own business. Yet even with her busy lifestyle, Heather has remained committed to the Y and finds time to consistently work out each week. She stays motivated knowing that exercise is benefitting her physically as well as mentally. Heather says her workouts give her energy, help her manage stress and live a healthy lifestyle.

ENSURING ACCESS AND BELONGING FOR ALL

Camp Boomerang
Autism affects 1 in 68 children. Each summer, the Siskey YMCA provides children with autism and other special needs the opportunity to experience camp alongside their peers. Our inclusion- based camp engages campers in a variety of outdoor, enrichment and specialized activities and provides one-on-one staff support.

A donation of $250 sends a child with autism to one week of Camp Boomerang, giving them the chance to experience all that camp has to offer.

Active Adults (55+ Years) Programming
The Siskey YMCA helps the senior members of our community avoid isolation by bringing them together to enjoy a nutritious meal and share in common interests like water fitness, wellness workshops, creative arts, travel excursions and Christian fellowship.

A donation of $750 provides a senior with one year of access to the YMCA where they can connect with new friends and find a network of support.

Financial Assistance
Financial AssistanceOur Y is committed to serving those in greatest need. Through the generosity of our donors, the Siskey YMCA is able to provide $1.4 million annually in financial assistance, making life-changing Y programs and services available to those who need us most in our community.

“With an unexpected change in my family’s income, I began to worry about my ability to afford afterschool care and membership dues at the YMCA where my family is heavily involved. When I shared my concerns with staff at the Y, everyone was so caring and compassionate. They helped me with my fees, ensured that my children would be cared for and even helped register them for summer camp at an affordable rate. I am so thankful for the existence of the YMCA in my community.”
