The Stratford Richardson YMCA opened in September 2007. Located in the West Corridor of Charlotte, the branch features a 37,500 square foot facility on 27 acres of land and is committed to strengthening the foundations of the community.

The Stratford Richardson YMCA facility includes:
  • Indoor swimming pool with lap swimming, children's play area & sauna
  • Adult and family locker rooms
  • Full court gymnasium funded and designed by the Charlotte Bobcats
  • Indoor track
  • 5,000 square foot fitness center
  • Extensive cardiovascular and strength training equipment and ample free weights
  • CMC Wellness Center (registered nurse on-staff)
  • Drop-In Child care (complimentary for YMCA members)
  • Free Wi-Fi
  • Community meeting space for networking and fellowship
  • Chapel for spiritual growth and personal reflection
  • Two football fields funded by the Carolina Panthers and NFL Grassroots Initiative 
  • Children's playground (for YMCA programs only)
  • Volunteer opportunities including coaching, mentoring and tutoring
