At the Y, we work hard to develop safe and exciting day camps that help children thrive. Camp Central is your one-stop information center providing all the camp details and information you need to be prepared and know what to expect. Our hope is to create a worry-free experience where families feel secure about their children in our care. We hope day camp at the Y will be one of the best parts of your child’s summer!

Cancellation Policy

Day Camp Cancellation/Transfer Policy:

  • Cancellations and requests to transfer programs must be made in person in writing at the Sales & Service Center. 

  • Cancellations or requests for transfers must be received at least 8 days prior to the start of the requested camp week (the Sunday one week prior) to qualify for a refund or transfer of money.

  • Cancellations not received by the designated day will result in a forfeiture of all deposits and fees. Deposits are nonrefundable or transferable.

  • Camp weeks that have not been paid in full will be cancelled 8 days prior to the start of the requested camp week and will not receive a refund or transfer of funds paid.

Member Rate Policy: 

  • In order to receive YMCA member program price, participants must be an active member at the point of registration and maintain an active membership status through the end of program.
Drop-Off and Pick-Up

At the YMCA, sending each camper home happy and safely is our highest priority! Therefore, we ask for your patience and understanding as our team’s safely assist and escort each child to and from their cars during Drop Off and Pick Up.

You and your family can help us keep the camp day on schedule by doing the following:

  • Before the first day of camp, take time to read all Drop Off and Pick Up instructions listed in your Welcome to Camp email and/or Day Camp Family Handbook.
  • Review all provided campus maps and necessary directions that will direct you to your child’s camp location.
  • Double check all Drop Off and Pick Up times for your camp location. Most of our YMCA Day Camp locations host Drop Off from 7:30am-9:00am with Pick Up spanning from 4:30pm-6:00pm. However for more details about location specific times and instructions please review your branch specific Day Camp Family Handbook shared below.
  • Take time to fill out all necessary emergency contacts and Authorized Pick Up individuals in your Family Management account page. For instructions on how to change and add authorized pick up information see below.
Heat Advisory

The safety and comfort of our campers is always our top priority. View your branch's Family Handbook to learn about the changes we will make to our camp schedule on extremely hot days.

Lunch Information

Campers are very active and will get hungry! Pack a healthy, satisfying lunch every day. We aren’t able to refrigerate lunches, so please pack them in a small cooler/lunch box with ice packs or frozen water bottles. Label everything! Find additional lunch information in your branch's Family Handbook below.

Medical Authorization Form

Does your child need to take medicine during the day? If so, use our form to give us your permission and the specific details about your child’s medication.

Sunscreen Application

Protecting skin from the sun’s damaging rays is important. If you have specific questions about sunscreen application or if you have a child with a sunscreen allergy, please contact your branch camp director.

  • Apply sunscreen to your child before arriving at camp — we can assist in reapplying as needed
  • Send your preferred sunscreen labeled with your child’s name on it

 

What to Bring/Wear

Check the weather daily and dress your camper accordingly — the camp day will continue rain or shine! Be sure to label EVERYTHING you send to camp with your camper and check the camp’s lost and found at the end of the week before items are donated.
