The Dowd YMCA provides ChildWatch to our members for children six weeks to ten years of age. ChildWatch provides a fun, safe and nurturing environment while parents are engaged in YMCA programs. A small childcare fee is required.

Monday	7:30am – 2:00pm	4:30pm – 7:30pm
Tuesday – Thursday	7:30am – 2:00pm	4:30pm – 7:00pm
Friday	7:30am – 12:30pm
Saturday	7:30am – 12:00pm

Payment Options

Members can purchase payment cards at the Member Services Desk.

ChildWatch punch cards	$30.00 for 12 one hour visits
ChildWatch daily pass	$2.50/child for each hour visit
	$1.25/child for 1/2 hour visit
	*2 hours maximum per day

Policies and Procedures:  

• Reservations will be taken no more than 24 hours in advance
• Reservations are required
• All babies need to be fed and changed before coming to ChildWatch
• It is required that a diaper bag with bottles and diapers is left with ChildWatch staff
• Children in the process of being potty trained should wear a diaper while in ChildWatch
• Parents may not leave the premises on personal errands while their child is in ChildWatch
• If a child exhibits any signs of illness (i.e; running nose or eyes, coughing, fever etc) they will not be allowed to stay in ChildWatch
• Please DO NOT bring food or drinks into ChildWatch  

Short–term, drop–in child care centers are not licensed and regulated by the State Department of Child Development. All YMCA of Greater Charlotte child care programs adhere to YMCA quality standards.

Children may not participate in the following programs or a combination of the following programs for more than four hours in a 24 hour period in a Charlotte YMCA or combination of Charlotte YMCAs:

• Children's Enrichment Programs
• Unlicensed Preschool
• ChildWatch (drop–in care)
• Unlicensed Afterschool
