Be a part of 2008 Bike!Charlotte Week!

Join the crowd for the 3rd Annual CycleCharlotte bike ride to be held Saturday May 10, 2008. The ride will start and finish at the Dowd YMCA and is the signature event for the annual Bike!Charlotte week held from May 2nd through May 12th. This ride will include a children's bicycle rodeo, a 3-mile family fun ride in Uptown Charlotte and a 13 and 25 mile awareness and recreational ride in the streets of Charlotte.

The focus of this event is to promote a friendlier and safer environment in Charlotte for bicycle transportation by teaching bicycle safety for riders of all ages. We will utilize over 10 miles of bike lanes in the city as well as promote the use of cycle helmets for all riders.

Cost of the ride is $20.00 per rider, with an additional $5.00 per child. Riders will recieve a great post-ride meal, free t-shirt and entertainment by GiGi on site! The route will be well marked, as well as route sheets handed out before the event. SAG support will be in place as well.
