"One of our core values at Centex is not only to give back to the community but to participate in "defining" the communities where we live. Our families live, work, attend school, church, the arts, sports activities, etc. in these communities. Our communities and those activities define who we are and what we stand for - our values. If we do not commit to participate with our time and resources toward defining our communities then, too often, they get defined for us and in ways that we don't like. So, when we at Centex say that " we build communities", we do that as a builder and through good citizenship. The Y is one of those organizations that has values that we believe contribute to the community most positively. So we will support the organization in all respects."
