Youth/Teen Supervision Policy

It has come to the attention of the Harris YMCA that parents of Youth/Teens (10-18 year olds) need to be aware of the following Youth/Teen Supervision Policy:

  • Supervision for Youth/Teens is only guaranteed in designated areas which include: the Teen Activity Center (TAC), the Indoor and Outdoor Pools and the Fitness Floor
  • Youth/Teens, even if they are dropped off at the TAC, are allowed to enter other areas outside of TAC in the YMCA which may or may not be supervised
  • Unless the Youth/Teen is currently enrolled in a YMCA program, the Harris YMCA cannot prevent them from leaving the YMCA campus
  • Parents are encouraged to discuss behavior expectations with their Youth/Teen before they come to the YMCA
