The Harris YMCA has extensive dance offerings for every age group!  Come learn ballet, jazz, tap or hip-hop in a fun environment.  Beginners learn the basic fundamentals of dance and
advanced dancers will learn higher level skills, steps and combinations.  All dance classes develop
body awareness, artistic expression, musicality and rhythm.

Lower School Dance Classes (2.5 - 6 years)
The Harris YMCA's Lower School of Dance offers children the opportunity to learn the basic to intermediate fundamentals of ballet, jazz, tap or hip hop.  Classes are designed to enhance fine and gross motor skills and culitvate imagination, creativity and social development in a caring environment.  Students will develop the fundamental vocabulary and skills associated with dance.  They will learn to follow a teacher's instructions, interact with peers and develop self-confidence. 



Upper School Dance Classes (6 - 17 years)
The Harris YMCA's Upper School of Dance offers a variety of levels.  Students will learn beginer to advanced level steps and combinations depending on the class.  Along with vocabulary, stage direction, technique and body placement, students will also develop creative expression and explore the art of dance.
