Fitness & Wellness Policies

  • Proper workout clothing & closed toe shoes required.
  • No food or drink allowed with the exception of water.
  • Please be mindful of the equipment and other members and do not drop or slam weights.
  • Re-rack weights when finished.
  • Please adhere to the 30 minute time limit on our cardio equipment.
  • Proper gym etiquette is expected; please return equipment as soon as you are finished.
  • Please wipe down all machines when finished by spraying the towel first.
  • As a courtesy to other members, please refrain from talking on cell phones while working out unless it is an emergency.
  • Open to members 16 years of age and up. 
  • Open to members 14 & 15 years of age after completion of a F.I.T. orientation.
  • Open to members 11-13 years of age after successfully completing and passing the Youth Fitness Program.
  • Members under the age of 11 years old are not allowed in the Wellness areas.
  • Please store gym bags and personal belongings in the locker rooms.
  • No spitting in the water fountains.
  • Proper language is expected.
  • Please be courteous.
  • For assistance, please see a Fitness Specialist.

    Youth in the Wellness/Fitness/Track Areas

    No one under the age of 11 years old is allowed in the Wellness/Fitness areas. No one under 11 years old is allowed on the Track.

    Children between the ages of 11 & 13 years old MUST successfully take and PASS the Youth Fitness Program to be in any of these areas. They can sign up for the Youth Fitness Program at Member Services.

    Teenagers that are 14 or 15 years old MUST go through a F.I.T. Orientation with a Wellness Staff BEFORE they are allowed in these areas. They can make a F.I.T. Orientation appointment in the Wellness Center.


    If you believe someone is in violation of these restrictions, please inform a YMCA staff member.
