Did you know that the YMCA of Greater Charlotte is committed to the Total Health of not only our members, but also our community?
By joining the YMCA it is possible to strengthen your own muscles and memories and to help others in our community do the same. Community Outreach support programs that help improve the health and education of our community. Through financial support, the Harris and Harris Express YMCAs are able to provide programs like Afterschool funding for 78 of the 80 participants at the McCrorey YMCA. We also are able to extend year round Community Enrichment including two hot meals per week for children in both the Pine Valley and Sterling communities. We offer chair aerobics, yoga and water aerobics to our seniors who are looking for ways to stay active. In addition, 85% of the 600 youth sports participants at the McCrorey YMCA receive financial assistance.
