The Lowe's YMCA preschool is dedicated to enriching & supporting healthy child & Family development in spirit, mind and body through fulfillment of our Christian mission.
The program is built upon 5 building blocks:
Socialization - children will build friendships & social skills through interactions with teahcers and peers.
Fine & Gross Motor Skills - Children will enhance their fine and gross motor skills by engaging in indoor & outdoor activities.
Education - Children will learn through hands on experiences, play and the integration of age-appropriate activities.
Christian Emphasis - Children will grow in spirit, mind and body through the incorporation of the YMCA of Greater Charlotte mIssion, Vision & Character traits.
Healthy Choices - children will learn to make healthy choices for their spirit, mind and body.
Qualified teachers provide stimulation that encourages children as they learn and develop self-esteem in a fun, structured environment. Children explore, ask questions and solve problems in a warm, Christian setting. The preschool follows a theme-based curriculum developed by HighReach Learning. Activities include: crafts, music, group play, playground, Bible stories, motor skill activities and snack time.
The Lowe's YMCA partners with Fair View United Methodist Church and Lakeside Fellowship, ARP in offering parents a choice of program site. Classes are available for children age 6 months to 5 years. Preschool meets each weekday morning from 9:00 AM until 12:00 Noon. Two, three and five-day attendance options are available.
