2010-2011 Preschool Brochure
The goal of YMCA Preschool is to provide a safe, wholesome, Christian environment where children will grow in spirit, mind and body. Teachers strive to enhance each child's self-esteem, helping them to reach their God-given potential.
The Lowe's YMCA partners with Fair View United Methodist Church & Lakeside Fellowship ARP to offer parents a choice of program sites. Two, three and five-day class options are available for children ages 6 months to 5 years.
Preschool meets weekday mornings, 9:00 AM– 12:00 PM, and daily activities include crafts, music, group and playground play, Bible stories, motor skills and snack time.
Teachers focus on teaching your child the YMCA's Five Building Blocks:
Socialization - Children build friendships & social skills through interactions with teachers and peers. Fine & Gross Motor Skills - Children enhance their fine and gross motor skills by engaging in indoor and outdoor activities. Education - Children learn through hands-on experiences, play and the integration of age-appropriate activities. Christian Emphasis - Children grow in spirit, mind and body through the incorporation of the YMCA of Greater Charlotte Mission, Vision and Character Traits. Healthy Choices - Children learn to make healthy choices for their spirit, mind and body.
