If you are significantly overweight, you have a greater risk of developing many diseases including high blood pressure, type 2 diabetes, stroke and some forms of cancer. For obese adults, even losing a few pounds or preventing further weight gain has health benefits.

Weight Management is an eight-week support-based program geared toward managing an appropriate weight for your body. Trained staff will assist with goal setting and accountability.
It is recommended you attend Nutrition 101 class before registering for Weight Management.

The YMCA's Weight Management program is endorsed by the Cooper Clinic. For more than 35 years, the Cooper Clinic has been known as the pioneer in preventative medicine. Dr. Kenneth H. Cooper's philosophy is that it's far easier to maintain good health than to regain it once it's lost.
