About Our Program:
Lake Norman Regional Medical Center and Lowe’s YMCA are working together to move our community toward a higher level of wellness. This collaborative effort will provide preventive healthcare, health education and wellness programs to both YMCA members and non-members. The Wellness Center Team will provide a holistic approach to enhancing the mind, body and spirit — let’s build a healthier community together.

- Education seminars
- Blood pressure / pulse checks
- Select vaccinations (based on availability)
- Lab work focusing on cholesterol and glucose values
- Individual consultations with a registered nurse
- Health evaluations and fitness design on referral from a health care practitioner
Meet Our Wellness Center Nurse:
We are pleased to welcome Laurie Hoch, R.N., BSN to the Lowe's YMCA!
Laurie earned a Bachelor of Science degree in nursing from Florida State University and has worked in numerous healthcare settings, specializing in cardiac care. In addition, Laurie established the first occupational health center for the U.S. Consulate in Dubai.
She also holds certification as a personal trainer through the National Academy of Sports Medicine and also is a certified Pilates instructor and strength coach.
Laurie advocates developing a bond between mind, body and spirit - strengthening all three will result in a positive, healthy lifestyle.
