Media Policy
If you work in the media, we hope you will find the YMCA of Greater Charlotte as a resource. With 16 branches and 2 camps in the greater Charlotte area, the Y truly is embedded in this area and is in touch with issues affecting each of our communities. For example, staff at our Simmons YMCA is actively working with east side community leaders on future planning and development. We also have staff experts in areas like wellness, child care, sports, teen services, literacy, ESL, job training and social services.
Please contact Michael DeVaul to be put in touch with an expert in any of these areas, or to do a story on the YMCA. We very often work with local media who are interested in video footage and photos of in our facilities. Please use this same contact to gain permission to access our branches.
