Dance
The Morrison Family YMCA is excited to offer dance classes in our Dance Studios for ages 2 1/2 - 12. Our dance classes are designed to enhance fine and gross motor skills and cultivate imagination, creativity and social development in a caring environment. Students will grow and develop as they learn the fundamental vocabulary and skills associated with dance.
Our program is designed to meet your needs. Please review the following information entirely to choose what fits best for you.
General information regarding registration:
•Registration begins July 1st for YMCA members, July 15th for Program members. You may register for the Fall session or the entire year. •We are offering a price break if you register for the entire year at one time. •You MUST register for the same class, same day and same time for the entire year to receive the price break.
•If you choose to register for ONLY the fall Session, you must wait until October 1st to register for the remainder of the year. |
Payment Options:
•Pay in full at the time of registration
•Draft via checking account
- If you opt to draft, a 20% deposit is required for the price of both the fall and the spring session. The remainder of the amount of session cost will be drafted in accordance with a set payment schedule.
- Drafts occur on September 1st, October 1st, November 1st, January 1st, February 1st, and March 1st.

Items for purchase: - Required plain, short sleeved leotard
- Tights
- Skirts
- Ballet, Tap and Jazz shoes
- Including Velcro Tap Shoes (new this year for our little ones!)
Proper dance attire is encouraged during dance classes as it is very important for the dancers to look uniformed. It also helps to keep all of the students focused and allows the instructors to correct body alignment. Remember - please purchase ballet shoes that have full sole or split sole leather bottoms. No slippers are allowed in class, so please purchase real ballet shoes. If you have questions, please contact Lynn Fernandez at the phone or email below.
