Afterschool

We are changing the face of school-age programming! The 2010-2011 School-Age Enrichment Program is designed for grades K - 8th.  Our program goals include:

  • teaching your children healthy lifestyles and positive interaction with others
  • promoting physically active lives
  • providing role models who demonstrate strong character and positive values while building healthy relationships with your children
  • making your children feel comfortable and confident being themselves and trying new things

Don't miss this opportunity to be a part of the new wave of childcare.  Our School-Age Enrichment Program model was designed to meet the needs of our ever changing society.  Whether you need your child in a safe place after school every day, or just don't want your child watching tv and sitting at home every afternoon, your family has a place in our program.

K-Town :
Creating a smooth transition into a full day school/afterschool experience is important for children at this age. The K-Town program runs separately from our 1st-5th grade program, which enables us to have the flexibility to provide age appropriate activities. The time spent in the School-Age Enrichment Program allows for plenty of inside and outside activity time in order to provide some free and active time after a structured day of school. After spending their day together, the Kindergarten group will join the rest of the groups at the pavilion. They will spend rides out playing games together in the classroom.

Middle School
Teens will have a time and a place to do homework, work on the wireless internet computers and utilize the teen center and other YMCA property for counselor driven activities. The middle school participants will work as a group daily to choose activities and projects ranging from sports and exercise to arts and science.
