6th-8th grade Programs/Events
 Come to the Morrison YMCA to experience some fun clubs and have an opportunity to meet new friends. We are currently offering flag-football and basketball intramurals, as well as a photography club.
Flag-football and Basketball are intramural sports for the Community House Middle School students. These sports will meet at the YMCA from school dismissal to 4:30PM. Flag-football is available on Mondays and Wednesdays and Basketball is available on Tuesdays and Thursdays. The cost is $100/child for each sport.
Basketball will be focusing on skills and conditioning to prepare for upcoming tryouts or seasons. This will be an opportunity to learn skills and drills that will both have potential and create good muscle memory as well as habits. This is a great off-season opportunity for any athlete to stay in shape and work on fine motor skills.
Flag Football will provide the opportunity to work on technique and improve abilities as they do practice skills and drills and compete with their friends throughout the program. This is great experience for athletes not interested or able to play tackle that love the sport of football and want to learn and perfect the ins and outs of the game.
Photography will be an introduction class for students. This will cover the basics such as zoom and framing subject matter(s), shadows and lighting, human subject, and still life photography. Participants can bring their own cameras if they would like or they can use the basic cameras we provide. This club will meet at the Bojangles' Pavilion on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 4:30PM-6:00PM. The cost is $100/child.
