Sports Performance Training

The Morrison YMCA has currently partnered up with Architech Sports to offer a program targeted for young athletes, ages 11-18 years. This program is designed around the demands of the young athlete. The goal of the program is to improve each individual and prepare them for their individual sport.
This program includes the LINK evaluation tool to determine the specific areas the athlete needs to be stronger and more flexible. This is the same evaluation performed on NFL, MLB, NBA, professional soccer players and other professional athletes. This tool and other exams allow the team at Architech Sports to design a program specifically for the athlete that will improve speed, flexibility, strength and endurance, and overall athleticism.
This program consists of weekly workout sessions and it is recommended that the athlete attend 2-3 sessions each week. Training will take place on the Morrison Family YMCA outdoor athletic fields and in the gymnasium. The program is designed to improve: Flexibility, Endurance & Strength Training, Balance & Coordination and Overall Athletic Performance.
