Teen Programs

Half of the members of YMCA's nationwide are under the age of 18. We strive to provide teens with a variety of fun programs designed to teach them responsibility and servant leadership. The YMCA aims to help teens set goals and prepare for the future.

Middle School Madness (6th-8th grade) Join us for the Morrison Family YMCA’s monthly Middle School Madness. Events include a DJ with a light show, basketball, video games, and much more. One gym will be dedicated to the dance, while the other gym will be open for basketball and other games. We only host this event once a month, so don’t miss it! |

Leader's Club (7th-12th grade) The YMCA Leader's Club helps teens develop into leaders who will have a positive impact on the community. Teens gain valuable teamwork and volunteer experience while buidling a healthy spirit, mind and body. Plus, at the end of the year, they have the opportunity to attend the Blue Ridge Leader School with hundreds of other teens for a week long training. FREE to members! |

Open Mic Night (6th-12th grade) The Rachel Giblin Teen Center will host an Open Mic Night series, on the third Thursday of each month, July-December. Whether you are an experienced group that loves to play in front of people or a musician that wants to try something new, talk with the Teen Center staff to reserve your time slot. |

| 4th - 5th Grade Fun Night |
Join your friends at the Morrison Family YMCA for a night with no parents, no teachers, just fun! Activities include a dance, basketball, a dodgeball tournament, video games, and hang-out time with friends in the Rachel Giblin Teen Center. Pizza and concessions will be sold as well. |
| 5th Quarter (9th-12th grade) |
After each home football game at AKHS, come hang out with your friends at the YMCA. Enjoy a movie, video games, basketball, music, a dodgeball tournament, and a comfortable place to hang out. Chic-Fil-A will have food for sale. Don't waste your time sitting in a parking lot with your friends. Tell them to meet you at the YMCA after the game. |
| High School Dodgeball Tournament (9th-12th grade) |
Get your team of 5 and register now. Only 15 teams will be able to compete to be crowned Dodgeball Champions at the Morrison Family YMCA. Start picking your team now so you don't get picked last! |
| Middle School Dodgeball Tournament (6th-8th grade) |
Don't let the dodgeball fun stop at MSM. Bring your team to the real competition.
