Y Readers

Y Readers (formerly Starfish Academy) is a literacy program for Pre-K through second graders who are currently reading below grade level. $1,300 covers the cost for one child to attend the Y Readers literacy program. You can give children in our community better choices.

The Y Readers program is supported by the following YMCA branches: Ballantyne Village, Childress Klein, Dowd, Gateway Village, Harris, Harris Express, Lake Norman, Lowe's, Morrison, Simmons, Steele Creek, and Stratford Richardson.
