Water Safety
All children twelve years old and younger will be swim tested. For their safety, children who do not pass the swim test will be restricted to the shallow area of the pool and require adult supervision. Children attending birthday parties, Afterschool, preschool and other specialty groups will be required to wear a life jacket if they do not pass the swim test. Thunder & Lightning Policy
All outdoor swimming pools should be evacuated at the first sight of lighting or the first sound of thunder. The swimming pools should remain empty and decks cleared until at least 30 minutes after the last sound of thunder or sight of lightning. Any pools with windows should always be evacuated.
