Every day the Siskey Family YMCA’s Community Outreach programs improve lives by lending a helping hand to individuals and families in need. The Siskey Family YMCA is proud of our community partnership with the Johnston YMCA, located in the heart of Charlotte’s ten most fragile neighborhoods. 100% of the funds raised during our year-long community outreach campaign help underwrite the cost of these programs and services to those who could not otherwise afford them.

The Siskey Family YMCA Camp Boomerang provides:
Children with autism a competent role model who teaches them new adaptive skills.
Children opportunities to develop friendships through this inclusion experience. |
1 in 150 people are diagnosed with autism each year. Autism effects all racial and social groups. Early intervention is critical for developing appropriate communication, social & cognitive skills.

Afterschool and Day Camp programs in a safe, nurturing and enjoyable environment.
Teen programming that focuses on education, leadership, responsibility and teamwork.
Senior/Active Older Adult programs that focus on spiritual, social and physical well-being. |
More than 25% of K-12 youth are responsible for taking care of themselves during the after school hours.
