In the summer of 2009, the Steele Creek YMCA helped approximately 100 children at Berryhill and Nations Ford Elementary Schools raise or maintain their reading levels. $1,200 provides one child with one summer of YMCA Starfish Academy.  Donate Now.

The YMCA employs six social workers who serve more than 200 families with children in Charlotte's most at-risk neighborhoods.  The Strengthening Families Program helps these families connect to resources that fill basic needs. $1300 provides one family in crisis with one year of needed support. The Steele Creek YMCA offers a fun, safe environment for 500 children and teens in the summer and during the hours afterschool.  Youth engage in enriching, healthy activities with positive role models. $175 provides one child with one week of summer day camp. Donate Now.
