Wellness Education Seminar Series Weekly lectures on a variety of health and wellness topics, including, but not limited to nutrition, weight loss, exercise, hypertension and diabetes. Classes are taught by the Registered Nurse, Wellness Coordinator, and other wellness experts. FREE and open to the community. See the events calendar for upcoming lectures.
Quest – Cancer Wellness Program Quest is an eight-week wellness program for cancer patients and survivors. Program participants meet twice a week for lectures, exercise, and support. The cost is covered by a grant from the Blumenthal Cancer Center and is open to all patients in the community.
Medical Referral The Medical Referral Program is designed to provide you with resources, guidance and encouragement to attain a healthier lifestyle. This six-week program is ideal for first-time exercisers, those needing assistance with making healthy choices, post acute rehab clients who want to continue an active lifestyle, or those with chronic or recently diagnosed medical conditions. Program includes weekly meetings, personalized exercise prescription, and nutrition education. Healthcare provider referral required. Referral forms are available in the Health Center. Financial assistance is available.
Cardiac Fitness Cardiac Fitness is designed for those who have graduated from cardiac rehab, have heart disease or are at risk for heart disease. Participants receive individualized exercise programs and cardiac monitoring by a nurse and/or certified exercise specialist. A physician’s referral and recent stress test are required for entry.
