CRACKING OF THE BAT!

That is the sound on Friday nights at the University City YMCA. Baseball at the YMCA teaches fair play, develops sportsmanship, and improves the basic physical skills of the sport.

Teams practice once per week (Monday - Thursday) and games are played on Friday evening after 6:00 PM. Each team plays 14 regular season games in the YCommunity (University City YMCA, McCrorey, Johnston and Simmons YMCA).  There are two age divisions:

Little Baseball	4 - 5 year olds
Coach Pitch	6 -7 year olds

Each player will receive a baseball jersey, pants, hat and an individual player trophy for participation.

The YMCA uses the following criteria for player placement in our baseball league:
	1) Parent input (No Skills Assessment Day scheduled)
	2) University City YMCA Sports Administrators
