The 3rd Community Service Project of the 2008-2009 School Year will be support of the 2009 YMCA Community Outreach Campaign!
This campaign provides financial assistance for Y-Guides participation and for campers to attend summer at Camp Thunderbird
Our Community Outreach goal is $40,000
We are looking for 100% Y-Guides Tribe participation.
The goal for 2009 is for every Y-Guides dad to contribute an average of $50 each to the campaign. For dads who are in multiple tribes, one gift can be applied to different tribes.
Every tribe that participates in this community service project will receive 100 tribe points.
Every dad and child who participated at any level will receive a Community Outreach patch.
Every tribe that has 75% participation with the average gift being $50 per person will receive a special 2009 Y-Guides Community Outreach patch for all dads and kids in their tribe.
Every tribe that has 100% participation with the average gift being $50 per person will receive a Y-Guides pin for all dads and kids to put on their vest.
Cabin selection at Longhouses is no longer based on community outreach contributions. There will be a drawing for cabins in the Lodge at Rockmont. Tribe’s achieving the designation of “Los Indios” will be entered into the drawing. Los Indios tribes with 100% participation with the average gift being $50 per person will have their tribe entered a second time in the lottery.
