Lowe's YMCA Recreational Flag Football League is offered during the fall season for boys and girls ages 4 through 13 years. The league offers participants an introduction to football without the use of helmets, pads and tackling. No final score is recorded and no team standings are kept (U6 - U10 divisions). U12 and U14 division teams will compete in an end of season tournament. Parent volunteer coaches are needed to lead teams in practices and games.  

September 9 - November 9
  • U-6 | 3 - 5 years 
  • U-8 | 6 - 7 years
  • U-10 | 8 - 9 years
  • U-12 | 10 - 11 years
Practices and games will take place at the Lowes YMCA.
U8 division practices will take place on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, or Thursdays. U10 and U12 division practices will take place on Mondays/ Wednesdays or Tuesdays/ Thursdays.
Practices will take place for six weeks beginning Monday, September 9 through Thursday, October 17. U8 - U12 division practices will take place at 5:00 PM or 6:00 PM at the Lowes YMCA.
The U6 division practices and games will take place on Saturdays at the Lowes YMCA; a one day commitment only.

Players are required to wear mouth guards during practices and games.
Practices will take place at South Elementary School and games at the Lowes YMCA.
U8, U10, and U12 division practices will take place once a week at South Elementary School on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, or Thursdays from 5:45 PM - 6:45 PM.
Practices will take place for four weeks beginning Tuesday, September 10 through Thursday, October 3.
Players are required to wear mouth guards during practices and games.

The YMCA of Greater Charlotte is partnering with PlayerSpace, a sport league management and communication platform that connects players, parents, coaches and sports directors. We will use PlayerSpace as our primary communication platform for sharing game schedules, team rosters, cancellations and all other important information.

  • Emails and texts with updates on important information including schedule changes and cancellations
  • The ability to post and share pictures and videos with your team
Prior to the start of the season, you will receive account log in information from the Sports Director at your branch. When you receive this email, be sure to activate your account to receive communication about the upcoming season.
