YOUTH CENTER HOURS | Ages 6 - 13
We follow Union County and Mecklenburg County school schedule.

SUMMER, HOLIDAYS AND TEACHER WORKDAYS

ACTIVE KIDS | Ages 6 - 12
Active Kids is an exercise program designed with strength & aerobic activities to teach children to enjoy exercise and learn how to have a healthy body. All activities are taught in a fun, engaging and age-appropriate manner.

Active Kids Benefits:
  • Strengthens bones and joints
  • Improves energy levels
  • Helps control weight & reduce blood sugar
  • Strengthens the lungs and improves cardiovascular endurance
  • Increases muscular strength & endurance
  • Enhances emotional well being

SPORTS PERFORMANCE TRAINING | Ages 12 - 17
Join our certified personal trainers in the Functional Training Room for athletic conditioning workouts to improve both strength and stamina. Perfect for both in and off-season training!

Tuesday & Thursday | 5:30 PM - 6:30 PM

Members: $45 per month | Program Participants: $60 per month

TRX PRIVATE LESSONS | Youth ages 5 - 15 years old and Family 5 & up
Don't get bored with your workouts, change it up with TRX! The Brace Family YMCA is now offering private lessons for families and small group private lessons for youth. All fitness levels are welcomed, so come try out this new method of leveraged body weight exercise. Participants can safely perform hundreds of exercises that build power, strength, flexibility, balance, mobility and prevent injuries, all at the intensity you choose. 

YOUTH PILATES | Ages 6 - 13
Pilates is a total body workout with core strength being the foundation. The core muscles lie deep within the abdomen and back. Pilates trains the core muscles not only to be strong, but to work alongside the more superficial muscles of the trunk to support the spine and overall body movement.

As core strength is developed, stability through the entire torso increases. This is one of the ways Pilates helps overcome back pain. Good trunk stability not only increases back strength but allows the body to move more freely and efficiently.

Saturday | 10:00 AM - 11:00 AM  (alternating with Youth Yoga)​

YOUTH RUNNING CLUBS
Our Running Clubs are about focusing on learning running basics as well as building a community with others. Both Running Clubs will combine proper warm-up and stretching techniques with games, relays, and drills to give your child an opportunity to learn to enjoy running and having and active lifestyle.

Kidz Running Club | Ages 5 - 9
Mondays | 4:30 PM - 5:15 PM

Tweenz Running Club | Ages 8 - 13
Mondays | 5:30 PM - 6:15 PM
Members: $60/Session | Program Participants: $100/Session

YOUTH YOGA | Ages 5 - 13
Youth yoga will introduce the practice of yoga to your child through age-appropriate poses and breathing techniques, all while learning to focus themselves and their energy in meaningful ways. In youth yoga, our goal is to create a fun environment where laughter and friends are part of the process in building healthy habits. 

Tuesday, Thursday & Saturday | 10:00 AM - 11:00 AM | 
(Saturday alternating with Youth Pilates)
