2018 Workshop Sessions
10-week Session: January 8 - March 17, 2018
10-week Session: March 19 - June 2, 2018 (no class April 2-7)
Adult Photography
Learn how to use your camera beyond the auto setting to move from simply capturing moments to creating art! Under the guidance of a professional artist at the Ballantyne Arts Center, participants will learn foundational photographic elements, such as lighting, composition, contrast, color, movement, shape and texture while also discovering the many ways to transfer photos from a digital format to a variety of tangible pieces of art. Dabble in different subject matters like nature, abstract photography, portraiture, and street (candid) photography while developing art technique and vocabulary. Participants must bring their own camera. Subject matter and photo art projects change each session.

Adult Ceramics and Wheel Throwing
Be prepared to get messy in the Morrison Art Studio in this class focused solely on working with clay and making fun and functional ceramics projects that are constantly being updated and re-imagined so they’ll always be fresh, unique and engaging experiences! Hand building, slab work and wheel throwing are explored with new projects each session.
