Calling all imaginations to run free!

Creativity and a variety of sensory rich mediums combine in this fun hands-on exploration that builds confidence, creativity, and self-expression. Young artists will be exposed to beginning visual art concepts and vocabulary while developing essential life skills, discovering and sharing their world. Inventive and engaging new themes are continuously explored to create unique works of art each session.


2018 Class Sessions
10-week Session: January 8 - March 17, 2018
10-week Session: March 19 - June 2, 2018 (no class April 2 - 7)

ART EXPLORERS | Ages 3 - 5
Little hands and big imagination combine as young artists explore their creativity experimenting with age-appropriate mediums like paint and clay while introducing basic concepts. Sessions are designed for both beginning and returning students by exploring new themes and introducing new materials each session.

MINI MASTERS | K - 2nd grade
Experience the excitement of being an artist! This class introduces basic art techniques like collage, drawing and painting while discovering their artistic voice. Sessions are designed for beginning and returning students exploring new themes and material each session.
ART SAMPLER | K - 5th grade
Join us at the Ballantyne Arts Center for a fun and casual art sampler! Students will experience a taste of theatre and visual art including free drawing, painting, theatre games and improvisation. This class is perfect for students who want to test out arts programs before committing to a full class or for students looking for an informal art option to complete their schedule at the Arts Center. Sessions are designed for beginning and returning students exploring new themes and material each session.
When school’s not in session, sign up your child for a creative arts camp that combines theatre, movement, visual art and music into a fun learning adventure! These developmentally appropriate camp experiences enhance life skills through the arts. Campers rotate to a theatre and visual art instructor exploring a new themed story book each day. Art camps develop a variety of preschool life skills through an engaging and creative approach including fine and gross motor, public speaking and communication, literacy, comprehension, team work and much more!
