The YMCA of Greater Charlotte supports encouraging healthy habits and building community. We want you to join us in the Give Me 5 Challenge each month. These challenges will help hold you accountable to your goals and encourage you to try new things while building relationships.
The challenge of the month is to get in 150 minutes of moderate to vigorous exercise each week. This could take many forms- we encourage at least 30 minutes a day for 5 days. The minutes do not necessarily have to be in a row either - for instance the goal is to do 30 minutes a day, so you could break that up into three 10 minute sessions.
To download the app:
  • Go to the App Store or Google Play and search “YMCA Charlotte.”
  • Download the app and register using your member number.
  • When you see the home screen, click on Challenges
  • You will see Give Me 5 Health Challenge
  • Then click “Register”
You are now all signed up! This app pairs with many wearable technology items and will help you track your progress.
Use this as an opportunity to get creative. Take a walk with a friend, try a new class or try out new machines on the fitness floor.
