If your child is normally scheduled to come to us on a day when school has a scheduled early release, we will be ready to get them / accept them according to that schedule. Registration is NOT required in advance. Should you need care on an early release day when your child is not ordinarily scheduled to attend, you can register for a drop-in day. That daily rate is $25 per day for members and $40 per day for non-members.

Our program is open on Out of School Days at no additional charge for Afterschool package participants, but REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED IN ADVANCE. We cannot guarantee that you will have a spot in the Out of School Days as spaces are limited and awarded on a first come first served basis. After a certain point, remaining spots will be opened to the community. If an Out of School Day does not reach a minimum number of 5 registrants, we will cancel the program for that day.
  • Activity Options: Our Out of School Days are also designed to be interest-based. Each day we will offer a few different AM and PM activity options, which you can select upon registration. Just like in our club model, we will have some Tier 1 options for no additional charge and other add-on opportunities, which will have a fee associated with it. If you choose an add-on activity, your card on file will be charged at time of registration.
  • Drop-Off: Early drop-off is available on Out of School Days from 7:30 AM - 9:00 AM. Please park and come in to our program entrance for check-in. Pick-up will be available all day at the Dee Dee Harris Program Entrance and our carline will open from 5:00 PM - 6:30 PM.
Food / Snack Info
We provide snacks every day for students, and hand them out upon arrival. You can send along a snack with your child if you prefer, but pease DO NOT send your child with any food containing nuts. We are a nut-free program and the foods we provide as a part of the program are allergy-friendly. We have children in our programs with severe allergies and you can help prevent a life-threatening emergency by selecting alternatives to pack in your child(ren)’s snacks and lunches.
We value regular communication with our parents and want to keep you informed of all that’s happening in our program. Keep your eyes peeled for our bi-weekly newsletter that will come home with  your child. In it you’ll find important reminders and program highlights. Read our latest newsletter >>

Program Add-Ons
The Morrison Family YMCA Afterschool Program offers a club-based model, where kids and parents can select an individualized schedule of activities for the duration of each of our sessions. We offer “Tier One” clubs that are included in the cost of afterschool. We also offer add-on opportunities that have an additional cost associated. Those include activities such as: Dance, Gymnastics, Cooking, Sports Leagues, Visual and Performing Arts, Youth Fitness, Tutoring, etc. Afterschool students do receive a discounted price on those programs. Take a look at our available add-ons listed on our Program Grids that parents use to select their child’s schedule. View Add-On Options >>
Pick Up
Car Line pick-up runs from 5:00 PM to 6:30 PM each day and will take place on the side of the YMCA building by our preschool playgrounds. If you are using the Car Line, please do not get out of your car to pick up your child. Your child will be escorted to your vehicle by a staff member. We are not authorized to buckle your child into the car. If they are unable to do so themselves, please pull forward out of the carline and help them. Thank you for helping to expedite this process by having your ID ready.
We also offer pick-up just inside the Dee Dee Harris Program Entrance (closest to the pool) from 3:00 PM - 6:30 PM. Please park in a designated parking space and walk in — DO NOT park in the fire lane.  If you’d like to call us in advance to help us expedite an early pick-up, please do so at 704 589 0250. We are not always able to pick up the cell phone but will do our best to accommodate you.  Please do not ask for your child to be at the pick-up area more than 5 minutes prior to your arrival.
  • For the safety of your child, participants will only be released to a legal guardian or responsible adult listed on the child’s account.
  • Every adult must present a government-issued photo ID during pick-up each day.
  • In the event that a child will be picked up by an adult not listed on the registration form, please email the address above and include the person's name as it appears on their photo ID. Please notify the person that a picture ID will be required during pick-up.
  • If there are special circumstances involving custody issues you must provide the Director with legal documentation of these arrangements.
We are using PikMyKid to expedite our pick-up process. This is an app that you install on your phone to “Announce” that you have arrived for pick up. This will allow us to start gathering your child for pick-up. When you arrive in car line or at the PAC desk we will continue to check your ID. PikMyKid Information >>
