1. Determine your monthly membership rate using our My Y Pricing rate calculator.

2. Download and complete the membership form.
3. Visit a branch near you and speak with one of our member services staff.

What you'll need to bring when you visit:

• Completed membership form.
• Current tax return. In order to receive the My Y Pricing rate adjustment, you must present a current tax return to verify household income at the time you join. Accepted documents for income verification include the 1040, 1040EZ or 1040A. A staff member will view line 22 of your 1040, line 4 of your 1040EZ or line 15 of your 1040A. If you are not required to file taxes, please present a statement of non-filing, which can be obtained for free by calling 1-800-829-1040. You may also request verification of non-filing statements by visiting http://www.irs.gov and clicking on “Order a Tax Return or Account Transcript.”
• Form of payment. To pay your membership dues monthly, we automatically debit from a bank account.  If you wish to establish a monthly bank draft, you must bring a voided check from the account you wish to use for payment or a letter from your bank with account and routing information. We also accept cash payment in advance for a 6-month or 12-month period.
• Government-issued photo ID. Anyone 16 and older is required to present a government-issued photo ID in order to apply for membership, receive a replacement membership card or use the facility as a guest. Please bring a driver's license, passport, government ID or military ID. The YMCA of Greater Charlotte regularly compares its membership database to the National Registry of Convicted Sex Offenders. It is our policy to terminate the membership of anyone registered as a sex offender.
