<p>Adaptive Camp at Camp Boomerang™ immerses campers with diverse abilities into classic summer day camp experiences at the Hemby Program Center. All campers participate side by side with other on-site camps in age-appropriate activities such as outdoor exploration, fishing, field sports, swimming, and arts and crafts. Boomerang Teens participate in age-appropriate activities such as field trips, archery and tower adventures. Families of the Adaptive Camper will be emailed a detailed questionnaire about the camper&#39;s specific needs. This questionnaire must be completed before camp so that leaders can plan any required program modifications. Leaders are available to connect with families prior to camp to discuss any concerns or modifications the camper family may have. Adaptive Camp at the Y is unable to provide 1-on-1 care. Campers must be able to participate in the program&#39;s assigned staff-to-camper ratio.</p><p><br></p><p>Boomerang Buddy Campers at Hemby Program Center put leadership into action. Campers participate side-by-side in all the traditional camp activities with campers in our Adaptive Camp Boomerang program. Boomerang Buddy campers are by invite only. Participating as a Boomerang Buddy is a privilege achieved through a camper’s proven commitment to our core values of Caring, Respect, Responsibility, Honesty, and Faith. Invited Boomerang Buddys should complete this wait list registration. Program leaders will move invited campers to the Boomerang Buddy roster.</p><p><br></p><p>Camps at the Y foster your child&#39;s independence, imagination, and confidence while lifting the Y&#39;s core values of Respect, Responsibility, Caring, Honesty and Faith.</p><p>Cancellation Policy: Written notice is required at least 21 days prior to the camp start date.</p>
