<p>Art Camp at the Johnston YMCA is the place to be for creativity, friends, and growth. With choices in visual arts, performing arts, and culinary arts, there&#39;s something for every creative camper! Campers will also get to join in on classic camp activities, such as swimming, games, teambuilding, and outdoor play.</p><p><br></p><p>Visual Arts Camp establishes the building blocks for great art. Campers use that foundation to create their own masterpieces during a week of discovery and self-expression. Campers take a deep dive into the fundamentals of art learning about line, shape, color, value and texture. Each week of Visual Arts Camp brings a new theme, new media, and new techniques for young artists&#39; creativity and expression.</p><p><br></p><p>Performing Arts Camps invite campers to take to the stage! Led by professional teaching artists, campers discover confidence and self-expression through performing and visual art. Each week features an exciting new theme and campers will present a showcase at the end of the week.</p><p><br></p><p>Culinary artists will learn basics of cooking and baking through hands-on experiences. New recipes and ingredients are featured each day, along with lots of opportunities to explore and create together. Campers will also work on themed art pieces throughout the week.</p><p><br></p><p>Camps at the Y foster your child&#39;s independence, imagination, and confidence while lifting the Y&#39;s core values of Respect, Responsibility, Caring, Honesty and Faith.</p><p>Cancellation Policy: Written notice is required at least 21 days prior to the camp start date.</p>
