About Mental Health
Mental health is as important as physical health, yet many struggle to find support. Mental illnesses impact thoughts, emotions, and relationships but are real, treatable conditions. Like asthma or diabetes, they can stem from genetics or life experiences. Since 2011, poor mental health has increased, especially among youth. The YMCA provides resources to support and guide teens in need.

Therefore, we are committed to doing everything possible to destigmatize mental health issues, support the different communities we serve, and provide the education and resources our young people are looking for.
