Cabins & Amenities

At YMCA Camp Harrison, cabins quickly become a home away from home. Campers stay in modern, air-conditioned log cabins with bathrooms and showers, forming lasting friendships while sharing experiences—not just space.

Grouped by gender, age, and grade, campers bond with peers from different cities, states, and countries, building teamwork and independence. Our camper-to-staff ratio ensures personalized support, with counselors providing daily one-on-one check-ins to help each camper thrive.

Dining

No camper goes hungry at YMCA Camp Harrison! Our dining hall offers family-style meals for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, giving campers a chance to relax, connect, and enjoy fellowship during their busy day.

We prioritize healthy eating. Campers enjoy a variety of fresh fruits, hot and cold cereals, vegetables, and kid-friendly options daily. A salad bar is available for lunch and dinner, and vegetarian options are always provided.

Our experienced counselors help guide campers toward balanced meals while ensuring all dietary needs are met. If your child has food allergies or special dietary requirements, please contact us and note it on their health history form.

Land Activities

YMCA Camp Harrison offers a dynamic mix of land activities designed to challenge campers, build confidence, and create unforgettable experiences. From outdoor adventures like hiking, survival skills, and aerial challenges to creative outlets in the performing and visual arts, campers have the opportunity to explore new interests and develop lifelong skills. Sports and team games encourage friendly competition, while target sports like archery and sporting clays help improve focus and coordination.

With a balance of adventure, creativity, and teamwork, Camp Harrison’s land activities provide a fun and supportive environment for personal growth, independence, and connection in the beautiful North Carolina mountains.

Every camper at YMCA Camp Harrison experiences the excitement of water activities throughout their stay. With access to a variety of lake adventures, campers can paddle, sail, swim, and splash their way through an unforgettable summer.  

Whether gliding across the water, fishing in the creek, or tackling the thrill of water slides and floating obstacles, campers create lasting memories while developing essential water skills in a safe and supervised environment.

At YMCA Camp Harrison, we believe strong swimming skills and water safety build confidence. Our overnight camp helps campers improve their swimming while enjoying lake adventures, kayaking, paddleboarding, and more in a safe, supportive environment.

To ensure safety, we assess each camper’s swimming ability upon arrival. Lifejackets are always required on boats, and our trained staff provide guidance to help campers develop their skills and enjoy the water responsibly.

With a focus on fun, skill-building, and safety, Camp Harrison offers the perfect place for campers to grow their confidence on the water.

UltraCamp Login & Forms

Important: You must set up your YMCA Single Sign-on (SSO) to access UltraCamp. After creating your SSO, that one login will work for camp, the Y app, and your online YMCA account.

Already set up? Use the Log In button anytime.

  1. Click “Log In” in the top right corner of this page.
  2. Select “Setup/Login with Single Sign On (SSO)”.
  3. Click “Sign Up”.
  4. Enter your email address - you’ll receive a 6-digit verification code. Enter that code.
  5. Create your new password.
  6. Enter your first name, last name, and date of birth then click “Continue.”

Once logged in, you’ll see a blue “UltraCamp Login” button just above the “My Details” section on the page. Click there and you’ll be taken directly to your UltraCamp dashboard! Here, you will be able to review your account members and reservations, as well as add/edit emergency contacts and pickup authorizations for your camper(s).

You should also see an “Incomplete Tasks” notification to the right of the Primary Contact - clicking this will take you directly to all required tasks. If you do not see this notification, you can also access each requirement by selecting the menu in the top left corner and navigating to the “Document Center”.

Required forms include:

  • Camper Health Profile
  • Camper Confidential
  • Medication Policy Acknowledgement
  • Arrival & Departure Travel Plans

Required uploads include:

  • Camper Health Insurance Cards
    • In the Document Center, select “Upload Document” and proceed accordingly.

  • Camper Medications (includes meds, supplements, & vitamins – both Rx and OTC)
    • From your dashboard, select your camper’s name.
    • Expand the section at the bottom titled “Medications”
    • Select “Manage Medications” and proceed.
    • Thank you for adding this information both in your camper’s UltraCamp profile and in your PackMyRx account.

  • From your dashboard, select your camper’s name.
    • Expand the section at the bottom titled “Reservations”
    • Select the appropriate session
    • Expand the section at the bottom titled “Additional Information”
    • Click “Edit Information” and proceed.

ALL ULTRACAMP INFORMATION must be completed/submitted by June 1st, 2026
