Simmons was honored to host the presentation of a large donation from the City of Charlotte to YMCA of Greater Charlotte for their Level Up program.
Level Up at the Y gives teens a safe place where they can chill out and hang with friends on select Friday and Saturday evenings.

May is Asian American & Pacific Islander Heritage Month! Did you know that locally, Asian Americans have a strong presence and voice in the Charlotte area, representing 6.6% of the population?
In celebration of #AAPIHeritageMonth, consider learning more about the diverse cultures, traditions, and history of Asian American & Pacific Islander communities throughout the U.S. and right here in our region.

We're gearing up for a FUN-filled summer here at the Y! ☀️😎 Our summer day camp slots are filling faster than ever this year, so be sure to reserve your child's spot before it's too late!

May is Mental Health Awareness Month. 🧠💭 At the Y, we strive to strengthen community in spirit, mind & body. A vital component to building strong communities, families & individuals is to support mental health & wellness.
Take time this month to consider what you need to support your mental health. Small actions like incorporating regular self-care, physical activity, technology-free time, & connecting with loved ones can go a long way in supporting overall well-being.

There’s no better way to start your weekend than with some Zumba… and we like to mix it up each week, so make plans to come next week!

Congratulations Kevin Dean on your retirement! Thank you for over 40 years of service to the YMCA of Greater Charlotte.
Kevin says, “When this journey began I had no clue that the Y might be a career. It was a job. Along the way it became apparent that it was more than that, it was God’s plan. And it’s been rewarding beyond words. Thanks be to Him for allowing me to serve at the YMCA.”
