Harris YMCA Volunteer Projects

At the Y, we believe that when people come together for a common cause, the whole community is strengthened. When you become a volunteer, you have the opportunity to share your blessings with those who need it most. Volunteering with the YMCA is powerful because you’re not just joining a mission, you’re joining a community of like minded people who want to make a difference. There are so many exciting and meaningful ways to get involved and volunteer at the Y. Branch projects are listed below, if you are interested in projects going on throughout our association, Click Here.

Volunteers will assist with traditional day camp activities, games, crafts and all the various activities that make summer camp fun! As part of volunteering for summer camps, volunteers are asked to volunteer for the entire week of camp (if possible), and for the same 4-hour shift each day. To support our staff and campers, please give us a week's notice when selecting your volunteer shifts. Adults only (minimum age 21): Interested in greeting our campers as they arrive to Camp? Sign up for morning shifts as a Camp Carline Greeter here on Thursdays and Fridays to welcome our campers and make sure they get to their assigned location.
