Sessions fill up well in advance of Camp starting. We strongly encourage early registration for Camp and all Extras. Please check for up to date session availability.

Leaders In Training (LIT) | Ages 13 - 15

The LIT program is designed to forge the next generation of community and camp leaders. To participant in the Day Camp LIT 1 program at Camp Thunderbird, campers must interview and be accepted into the program. The LIT 2 program is open to those LITs that have been promoted from LIT Level 1. The LIT 3 program is open to those LITs that have been promoted from LIT Level 2. Payment Plan

At registration, $10 will be collected. The balance of your camp fees and extras will be billed in the month before your camp session begins. For example, June camp session payments are drafted on the first of May.

Extras

We offer a variety of day camp extras to enhance and ease the day camp experience! Space is limited in all of our extras and we encourage you to sign up when registering for day camp. 

South Charlotte Bus Service

Avoid the traffic and add bus service from New City Church – 2500 Carmel Road. Drop off begins at 7:15 AM with a PROMPT 7:45 AM departure. Pick up is between 5:30 PM - 6:00 PM. Please make sure to be on time with proper ID! Cost is $60 until April 30, $65 as of May 1. 

Overnight Option

Spend Friday night with us! Overnights are only available for purchase if your camper is attending camp during the week of the overnight. Our overnight dates are: June 17, June 24, July 8 and July 15. LITs are not eligible for overnights. Cost is $60 until April 30, $65 as of May 1. 

Lunch Option

We offer a hot, nutritious lunch option for the whole week. Cost is $50 until April 30, $55 as of May 1.

Swag Bag

This sports bag will include a Camp Thunderbird exclusive Day Camp t-shirt and other authentic Camp Thunderbird items for your camper to enjoy! This bag is delivered to your camper on the Thursday of your child’s week of day camp. It's a great way for your camper to show the Camp Thunderbird pride well after camp is over for the summer. Cost is $45 per Swag Bag.
